NWPA-ASA
Mission
The NWPA chapter of the ASA
exists to provide support to people with autism and other pervasive
developmental disorders and their families in Erie, Crawford, Venango and
Mercer Counties. Our activities are driven by the needs of our
members. We promote an awareness of autism and other
developmental disorders in the community at large and to that end
educators, social workers and other professionals are welcome as an integral
part of our family.
Local
Chapter Activities
Our organization provides
opportunities for families with autism and other pervasive developmental disorders
members to share their concerns with each other. We provide access
to educators, social workers and other professionals with expertise in the
field of autism/PDD. Monthly meetings are held to share the latest
in autism/PDD through either a guest speaker or review of new
literature. We jointly plan activities to share and enjoy the
challenge of living with these disabilities.
